HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Parker Posey has joined the cast of Fine Line's ``The Anniversary Party,'' set to go before cameras Wednesday in Los Angeles.
The picture, to be shot on digital video, marks the directorial debuts of Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cumming, who also wrote the screenplay.
It's an ensemble story about the complexity of love and the deterioration of relationships. The cast includes Jane Adams, Mina Badie, Jennifer Beals, Phoebe Cates, John Hickey, Kevin Kline, Denis O'Hare, Gwyneth Paltrow, Michael Panes and John C. Reilly.
Posey will next be seen in Christopher Guest's ``Best of Show,'' which will premiere at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival in September, and she will soon begin production on Universal's ''Josie and the Pussycats,'' opposite Cumming.
